Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy cocktail)
Ingredients:1 oz. Jack Daniels Whiskey1 oz. Peach schnapps4-6 oz. Orange juice1 splash of Blue curacao1 lemon twist 1 olive (optional)
Directions: Fill a highball glass 3/4 full of ice. Add the Jack Daniels and peach schnapps, then top off with orange juice. Mix well, then add the blue curacao over the top.  Garnish with a lemon twist and olive, if you chose to include it. Drink… but… very carefully…
May 25th is celebrated by many as Towel Day, paying tribute to Douglas Adams’ comical space book series, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So naturally, tonight is the best night of the year to drink some Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters, which, according to the book, feels like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick. While there are many “Earth” versions of the fictitious cocktail, the one we chose to post today is a more commonly served recipe. This version of the drink is served the Zaphod Beeblebrox nightclub and bar in Ottawa.

aradia cup!! I made the handle look like the aries symbol, and glazed it in daaaark red. the inside has a awesome melty black quality. unfortunately the glaze ran a bit and puddled around the bottom, which i chipped off with delicate tools (a hammer and chisel, literally ._.) and am in the process of smoothing out.

with a rock.

anyways i also used some oxides to paint a little on the bottom, i was pretty bummed that some of it had to go when i tried to fix it up. this is why you want to put footrings and neatly trimmed bottoms on ceramicware, kids!!

Oh wow! I like this idea!

halcyonicreverie answered your question: Bluh…I said I’d do this forever ago, and finally…

ffff why didn’t I see this before? I think I scroll by things too fast or something, I’m aaaaallways missing them.

Ahaha, who knows honestly! I also continued our previous conversation too ;P Huh, tags were autotagged with your name, maybe something like that would help, but then you’d have to look your tag up.

tumblr just hates me.*cry*

xD

Haha yeeeeah, I don’t think it’s too fond of me either ;_; Damn you, tumblr!

Bluh…I said I’d do this forever ago, and finally am now…

These aren’t really polished flat colours, still trying things out, probably forgot details but here are my samples of the two chibi styles I kind of like doing. Though while looking up the proper colours for America, I realized that that style is kind of just a cruddy version of Hidekaz’s own. Kind of weird how that ended up happening…

Anyways, I’m mostly posting for a friend’s input, but I guess if anyone else wants to add their say, I’d welcome it. The more the better actually, as I would like to try doing an artist alley in the future. So, which looks better? What could I do better? Etc?

damn, it won’t let me ramble/answer twice.

I’m too distracted by America’s sparkliness haha. They are cute. America is more like “Daaawwww chibi” but the other one feels more action-y which is nice. Also like that there is lots of detail on both, chibis don’t usually get that xD

Haha, all the Hetalia chars I did, have something silly around them. I have no idea why, but I approve of my past self’s idea. I was trying to think of something for Yoko too, but after doing a couple of things, I just gave up on that part for now :P

I kind of like Yoko’s just for that. Though, when I scanned in America, I noticed I tossed China in the same pose as her. Sooo, I think the fact that America is just standing there is due to him being first. I probably should’ve scanned China instead, but he wasn’t as finished. Haha, thanks! I dunno why I feel the need to add all of it though…like I missed the studs on Yoko’s belt, and noticed while trying to post these…and that made me stop and go back and have sooooo much fun drawing tiny squares >.<

My cat, Pipsqueak, often attacks all the stuffed animals, which she stole from me.  Usually, when my boyfriend leaves in the mornings. I find this quite adorable.

Pardon the darkness and the popcorn popping. I couldn’t move to change either or she’d stop.

Haha, Jasmine does that with her toy mice <3 (Before she noms their faces off… xD;; )

I just love it. I don’t think any of my other cats were quite into playing by themselves, so this is my first time watching a cat do this haha. (Why is it always the faces? A lot of the stuffies aren’t smiling anymore thanks to the stitches for them being ripped out :P)
